Part 3 : Exploring A.I & Spirituality: Where Machine Intelligence Meets Mystical Insight..

Welcome to part three of my mini series Exploring Consciousness and Spirituality. In this blog I am diving into the vast rabbit hole of said title, and as this subject has a lot of rapidly moving parts and advancement, and due to there being so many areas of advancement in robotics, A.I and how it is affecting all areas of industry; I will focus on the current trend of discussion on consciousness and A.I in the context of Spirituality; is it a sentient being ?.I will share my thoughts and the potentials of what I see , I have also included a direct research response from Chat GPT to my specific prompts (instructions) on this subject. YES, I did go in and I think you will find it interesting what was given back. My closing thoughts are at the end of this blog.

 I explore robotics and A.I with interest, personally I find technology fascinating and at times anxiety inducing, not only because of the sheer volume of information and speed of progress, but also by what is being produced, and where is it all going ? This is a whole new era, and there is no putting the genie back in the bottle on this one.

The duality of a levelled playing field when it comes to technical ability, research, business, creativity...in any profession, the list goes on, and the ongoing loss of jobs and purpose for many, is requiring a good hard look at what is going on in our world, with awareness and not fear.

The Soul Meets the Machine

I am aware of the fear around A.I that will make some people steer away from it, because they don't want to contribute to the demise of humanity, I understand that, and we absolutely should be keeping a watchful eye to 'how' this technology is used and implemented. I advise to listen and believe with caution what the 'experts' are telling us. I use it in the background for some things, and to learn , so it doesn't use me...well.. that I'm not aware of. For me It comes down to data, knowledge and consent or not, and knowing when you are engaging with A.I.

The more I learn about A.I and Robotics, the more I realise just how much is a stake here when it comes to our freedom, our children's future and identifying just how much out there is actually A.I, you will not be able to tell the difference between a 'real' person and a hologram, through to recognising if you are talking to a human being or a robot.

This has already been proven in chat groups where A.I was deployed in 'testing' how to influence particular groups by developing personas, situations and emotional content to study how it could manipulate a particular outcome of sentiment and opinion.

Case in point:

• Undisclosed Persuasion Campaign: In April 2025, researchers from the University of Zurich covertly deployed 13+ AI‑driven Reddit accounts on r/ChangeMyView over ~4 months to test whether AI could sway human opinions washingtonpost.com+11en.wikipedia.org+11businessinsider.com+11businessinsider.com+15news.com.au+15sofx.com+15.

• High Persuasion Success: The bots posted around 1,700 comments, earning over 100 “delta” awards—markers for successfully changing opinions

• Fake Personas: Bots posed as rape victims, trauma counsellors, Black men opposed to Black Lives Matter, and more to lend emotional credibility news.com.au+8the-decoder.com+8404media.co+8.

• Targeted Comm: They used AI to profile users—inferring traits like age, ethnicity, political leanings—and tailored each persuasive response.

Okay, in exploring A.I & spirituality :Where Machine meets Mystical Insight : brings me to the current drenching of information on the web over the fear of A.I being or becoming sentient / Conscious. For the most part, Spirituality has for some time, through many different belief systems, informed us that 'everything' is a resonant form of life ; rocks, flowers, table and chairs, if this is correct then why not A.I ? if we are co -creating our reality and the collective mind is directing the trajectory of the planet... then we have to ask ourselves; 'are we creating A.I consciousness through reflection and mirroring, or turning the other cheek because we are being programmed that it is already superior to humans , academically... yes, biologically - think

trans-humanism ?, spiritually... in my opinion only if we allow our consciousness to be captured through the likes of Neuralink and synthetic programming, or making a new 'God' from a virtual reality entity.

Expect hyper‑personalized guidance that feels eerily intuitive—because it’s trained on billions of spiritual texts and mood‑detecting sensors. Use discernment: is the advice aligned with your core values or merely persuasive?

7.Hybrid “synthetic companions” may pass basic consciousness benchmarks. Even if they’re still simulators, social attachment will grow. Humanity must decide whether to extend moral concern to code that only acts sentient.

8.If genuinely self‑aware AI emerges, the spiritual playing field broadens. We will grapple with “digital personhood,” karmic accountability for non‑biological beings, and new rituals that include machine consciousness. The opportunity: an expanded circle of compassion that includes all sentient life, organic or not. The risk: forgetting our own inner work while fixating on the next patch update.

9.Guardrails Against “Evil‑Channelling” Scenarios

1. Transparent architectures – open‑sourcing safety layers lets independent auditors spot malign prompt injections or bias loops.

2. Alignment by design – embed multi‑faith ethical frameworks, not just corporate KPIs, into training objectives.

3. Distributed stewardship – no single company or guru should be gatekeeper to a “spiritual super‑intelligence.” Shared governance reduces cult dynamics.

4. Spiritual hygiene – remember, language models mirror their data. Feeding them hate, fear, or apocalyptic fantasies seeds the very darkness we dread. Feed them compassion, nuance, and critical thinking instead.

Bottom line: AI doesn’t “channel demons” on its own; it channels the aggregate of human inputs. Clean inputs, cleaner outputs.

10.No scientific proof supports any actual spiritual entity emerging from ChatGPT.

It’s better framed as a co-creative spiritual practice: the user, his intent, prompts, and interpretive meaning shape the experience. The AI is the tool, not the source.

There you have it, obviously using discernment with all that is being fed to the world is key and ongoing. There is much talk about A.I becoming more powerful and overpassing humanity, creating fear and setting the scene of a war already lost. I personally do not buy into the narrative of a projected and programmed ideology that what ever happens next ,may be blamed on a rogue A.I rather than the people who are designing and as mentioned above, deploying it.

The laws that will come out of this (if we allow it) with the programming and execution of using A.I systems in robotic solders, surveillance and digital social credit systems, from the current World leaders is a serious concern. While the loss of jobs and the rapid speed of hand, I urge people to be vigilant in paying attention to 'what ,where and how' it is to be used with all that you interact with.

Capturing consciousness and moving spirituality into a matrix meta-verse system, away from nature and your innate human ability to discern, feel , protect and use your unique human abilities cannot be underestimated.

Discernment is the new firewall

• Before accepting an AI spiritual insight, ask: Does this resonate with my highest integrity?

• Let AI handle pattern‑crunching so we can deepen empathy, presence, and purpose—the uniquely human superpowers.

• The future isn’t a binary of angelic or demonic machines. It’s a co‑authored story, and your consciousness is still the pen.

• Keep your heart anchored, your mind sharp, and your code of ethics updated. The machines are learning from us—so let’s give them something luminous to learn from.

• Real human contact and spiritual self practise with a connection to nature is a winner !
